• It's got a rechargeable battery and comes with a charging cable. Battery seems to last if you turn it off when not using it.

• Polk has two different speakers. One is true wireless and plays off rechargeable batteries and the other that needs plugged into an outlet.

• There is an Omni S2 that runs on battery. A bit more expensive than the standard model.

• Yes they need to be plugged in at all times. No batteries for this version.
