• I wouldn’t. The bass outlet is three sided at the base of each speaker (front and left/right side) plus there are four feet at the bottom of each speaker. Laying these down on their side (feet removed) might cause some undesirable bass reflections because you’d be blocking one side of the port. They’re designed to be used vertically. I guess you could try it but it’d be an expensive trial if you’re not happy with the sound.

• I wouldn’t recommend that as the speakers have a downward firing bass port design. You might lose tonal quality unless you build a sort of baffle or shelf around the speakers to force or channel the sound outward. Good luck!
