I have 2 subwoofer outputs on my Sony receiver, because it's a 5.2 system. If yours is a 5.2 that's why you have 2 sub outputs, use either one. If you have a .1 system, idk. But i found out by asking someone at the store. Or you can try calling geek squad with a simple quesiton like that.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Use an audio cable from your receiver to your subwoofer. Usually the left ( or top if stacked) line out plug on the receiver is for your main subwoofer sound. On the subwoofer, you can plug it into either the red or white rca line in. You can also use a Y connector on the back of the sub to use both lines. it pretty much is a preference. I use a Y adapter. Audio cables are usually reasonably priced and can be purchased most anywhere.
