• I had this issue as well initially. I had to adjust my tv setting to enable the sound through the ARC HDMI channel. There was another obscure setting I had to enable, I believe as well. This will likely vary by television manufacturer.

• Did you read the manual? Are you using HDMI ARC? If you are using HDMI without ARC, you will need another cord in addition to HDMI
