• Hi nj, If connected via HDMI, the Signa S4 will switch-on automatically when the TV is switched-on. It is a good idea to make sure your TV has it's CEC (HDMI Control) feature activated. if connected with optical or analog cabling, it would depend how long the TV were off before the Signa S4 shuts-down. This type of electronic device usually has an auto-off feature (typically 15 minutes of inactivity).

• Yes. We have it connected through the ARC HDMI and it turns on and off when we power on the TV.
