You need a Bluetooth stereo receiver.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Perhaps a Bluetooth receiver that accepts external speakers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The accessory he's talking about connects to the receiver, not to the speakers themselves

With this device, your daughter's iPhone and a pair of speakers, she'll be able to play music through the speakers, wirelessly, using her iPhone. There are many such bluetooth devices on the market that will work but I chose the model from Logitech since I've never had a problem with their products. You can see the one I have by clicking the link below. Remember though, the Polk speakers are passive speakers. That means that the speakers also need to be connected to an amplifier to work. Check out the Lepai amp on Amazon.com. It's very small, cost just over $20.00, and works great! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not think that's true because the speakers do not have a wireless receiver or mechanism that will allow it to be connected to. It's just a speaker that needs wires from a stereo or AV receiver to work. Now I bought the Onkyo 636 receiver and it connects to my phone via Bluetooth, and now I could play my music from my phone that way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A bluetooth adaptor/ apple stream device. they are relatively cheap these days, I am not sure if they make one that you could directly wire the speakers to though. maybe buy a cheap home audio receiver and add bluetooth/apple receiver capabilities to the reciever. Bluetooth adaptor and apple stream devices are two separate things just to clarify.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. He may have been talking about the Denon Heos Amp. It's s small amplifier which can power the speakers and has wireless audio playback capabilities.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These speakers alone need power from an amp in order to output sound. Getting a reciever that is Airplay or Bluetooth compatible would work, but the "neat" item you could use is a Sonos CONNECT:AMP. They're a little pricey, but they have really well designed app integration as well as being expandable should she want to add more speakers in the future.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Polk Audio 5-1/4" Bookshelf speakers need a Stereo Receiver / Amp (with up to about 85 watt out put) to power them. There is a Bluetooth Wireless Adapter device that can be hooked up to a stereo receiver Look at: (Logitech - Wireless Bluetooth Speaker Adapter M# 980-000910)
