• No. You need to find a pair of powered speakers, such as Edifier, if you're looking for "hi fi" speakers. They often have bluetooth also, so no wires required. Otherwise, there are many reasonably priced, good quality, desktop computer speakers that will probably work.

• No, these are standard stereo speakers that require speaker cable and a receiver/amp. I would recommend the Logitech z533 speakers for loud quality computer speakers. I own the cheaper z313 Logitech system and they are very loud and clear as well.
