No, they will not. They have to be plugged in to a receiver in order to decode the channels for listening, and then the receiver can be plugged in to the TV.

You will need to either connect an audio optical cable from your Sanyo TV's optical output (if it has one) to a receiver or amplifier, then connect the receiver or amplifier to the Polk speakers with speaker wire; OR connect the television or cable box to a receiver or amplifier using RCA cable, then connect the receiver or amplifier to the Polk speakers with speaker wire. In other words, you will need to purchase a receiver or amplifier (and the wire and cable) to accomplish what you would like to do. Best Buy currently has an Insignia receiver for $99 that would work.
