These bookshelf speakers are excellent and but it depend on the DJ equipment powering the speakers. I have an Onkyo receiver I tested with my set and it work well at low-mid volume but higher volumes may be too much. If you have a stereo receiver and not I high end amplifier, these speakers will more than serve it purpose.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would not consider this as a good option for what you want, they are bookshelf speakers not ones with significant output of sound. Good luck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will handle a fair amount of power and should be plenty loud- but they lack a bit of bass. Highs and mids sound great though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Cannot connect these to the speaker output of a computer. You will want powered speakers for that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i believe these speakers for the price, would be a hit at a party. I purchased a Polk Audio sub for around 150 that i barely turn 1/4 of the way up and it bumps the whole house.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These need external amplification but the size of the room maybe an issue or how loud you want to fill the room. For large rooms you may need multiple sets to get good sound pressure levels or buy larger speakers to fit the size room you want to fill.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They would work for a small area.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is advice for more professionally-minded DJs who use Controllers, mixers, and the programs (VirtualDJ, Serato, and Traktor). Use PA Speakers which are very specific because they boast power in decibel, Hz, and watt output. There are two types: active and passive. Active sustains its own power. Passive requires a receiver (and not your home audio one). Both have woofers installed in them usually. PA speakers usually go for several pretty pennies and receivers can range from around 90$ to several hundred. Now if your just going to create a playlist from iTunes or choose a mood from Songza, then you could probably get away with these and a woofer. You would need a basic home audio reciever for these speakers as they require copper wire.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are connecting speakers to a computer you must have an external component amplifier which will drive the speakers or a speaker system with a built in amp. Some powered speaker systems have one amp. in the sub woofer cabinet which drives the sub and has speaker level outputs to drive the mid/high freq. speakers. You can also find mid/high freq. speakers, usually bookshelf or tower type with an amp built into each. Your question indicates that you, like most people, want a lot for a little. Unfortunately you will only find disappointment if you continue that search. The best way to get high volume (SPL Sound Pressure Level) and clarity is with a component amplifier driving your speakers. From there you get high SPL with a lot of watts into large speakers or a lot of watts into multiple smaller speakers. I highly recommend that you and any others new to this search online or in books for series and parallel wiring of speakers, speaker impedance (ohms), what this means and why it's important. I could go on for pages on the subject but I have to stop somewhere. I hope this has been of some help to you.
