Be careful forceing it on to vent so not to break your vent
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is my second one. The adhesive is like the 3M adhesive tabs. It will not damage your dash unless you some loose finish.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Replaced mine after a year... Had it mounted on a hard shiny console in the car. Was heck to remove and didn't damage at all. Removed and cleaned surface with alcohol for replacement.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't experienced any damage by using the PopSocket. If you're worried about a sticky residue when removing it, just use some Goo Gone in that area.
