• Your connector from your Garmin GPS should just snap right onto the knob. Mine did. You may have to place a little pressure on it to snap on.

• I had some difficulty attaching the Garmin to the base, but I increased the pressure and they were attached. The friction base works well in my car. It stayed in place.
