The PowerXL 6Q combo unit timer should stop spinning once the unit comes to temperature. The countdown timer would also start to count down once the unit hits temperature. Our chefs have suggested to bring it to boil or saute temperature as a way to bring the temperature to hot and then switch to slow cook.
