• If you dont use the cooling or heating option then it runs quiet. It only makes a noise when you switch containers and its filling the reservoir. If you use the cooling feature count on a noise about every 2 hours when the condenser starts to run.

• Nope. Hardly makes any. My old one would beep when the water bottle needed changing, this one has a flashing light. It also doesnt make extra noise when you change bottles or use one of the buttons when filling a pitcher or something. It's nice having the 3 different water settings. It also gets almost all of the water out of the bottle, so it's not wasting anything. The reservoir is huge too.
