The system recognizes and looking for new cartridges that come with if it was new printer as a NEW Printer new IP number. The network old printer would not connect to the website. I had to at the time to go to Concast since the modem was there to update and not use the smart print at all which is the problem. do not use SMART PRINT on an OLD PRINTER. IT works great withHP new printer ONLY.
