You can plug it directly on the switch to charge. If your grandson's switch is the lite one that does not work with a TV only in handheld mode you can use an old phone charger with the cable that comes with it to charge. Finally there is no headphone jack on it
A:AnswerMake sure you're joycons are not on at all, and make sure that the pro controller is set up as number one. I also found that playing in the dock made it much easier to have the pro controller stay registered as number one.
