You can operate in manual mode. But it comes with 1 year of ifit and it is amazing. The ifit really makes this machine. I use it twice a day now.

The treadmill can be used in manual mode without paying for an iFit Subscription. The Proform Performance 600i treadmill comes with a one (1) Year iFit Coach membership. An iFit account must be created by visiting IFIT.COM A credit card must be provided in order to register the free membership. It is only needed for the renewal when it finishes.
