Chi26 This treadmill’s 60 HZ motor has been tested for longevity with 2.6 CHP horsepower and 120 VAC. CHP ratings are measured in a lab using a dynamometer and this does not denote the operational horsepower of a treadmill in ordinary household use. The time it takes to overheat would of course also depend upon the weight of the person using the treadmill. The drive belt tension is rated at 80-110 pounds per span, and we recommend a weight limit for the user to be under 300 lbs. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know the answer to your question since we only use the treadmill for about 2 hours a day, 5 times a week. We have never noticed anything close to an overheating issues.
