Please rest assured that your product is not faulty. The situation you described is actually a harmless visual effect related to the LCD screen, and we’d like to explain what happened: 1. Why does it look like there is only one bar of battery? Due to the backlight characteristics of some LCD screens, one segment of the battery indicator may appear slightly brighter than the others depending on the viewing angle. This is an optical characteristic of the screen material and does not affect its function or lifespan. The device is actually fully charged (all bars are on), but that one brighter bar creates the illusion that only one bar is lit. 2. Why didn’t the bars blink when I charged it? This is actually the key point that proves your device is working perfectly! Our product is designed so that the battery bars only blink when the device is charging AND is not yet full. If the battery was low: Plugging it in would cause the bars to blink, indicating it is actively charging. If the battery is full: To protect the battery, the device automatically stops charging. Therefore, the bars remain solid (non-blinking) , indicating the battery is already at 100%. So, the fact that the bars did not blink when you plugged it in actually confirms that the device was already fully charged when you first looked at it. How to verify this: To put your mind at ease, please try this simple test: Use the device normally (power bank or inflator) to drain the battery slightly. Plug in the charger again. You will then see the battery bars blinking normally, confirming that the charging function is working perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you, BobN. Your answer is clear and reassuring. Can you also explain the numbers displayed when inflating; I assume they are reorting pressure but they were jumping around. I am guessing that's beause the amount of pressure needed to firm up a ball isn't much and it is harder to hold a seal on a ball than on a tire. Does the display show anything for other functions?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When fully charged, the bottom bar looks brighter white than the three above. No flashing. Makes it seem like you are only “one bar” charged. If you use it to inflate or jump a battery, the next time you plug it in you will see the bottom bright bar, two grayer bars above, and then the top bar flashing, as it charges back up. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am posting this response because I suspect the person asking the question had the same problem we have had and we would love for a knowledgeable person to solve these msyteries concerning this otherwise nice unit. The unit comes without full instructions and no additional instructions are available online. Out the box, trying for an initial charge, what looks like a low battery icon shows, but attempts to charge don't change this, even over night. A small brochure says "The charging indicator (not identified) will flash while charging." Nothing flashes. Oddly, functions work at least at first, so maybe the empty battery icon is supposed to show full charge? When we tried the air pump on a basketball, it worked, but numbers that are a mystery appeared on the display. We did not try other functions, but all of the above happened on three unit we bought as gifts.
