Yes you can. In fact, I used this to downgrade from a more expensive version. Once your subscription runs out, Quicken does not stop working, you just won't be able to download transactions into your accounts. You can then follow the instructions to renew using the online code that you get. I do not remember the exact wording, but Quicken will ask you if you are renewing with a code purchased elsewhere.
