No, you will need 2 Rachio's unless they come out with another model accommodating up to 24 zones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It depends. If your system doesn't have a master valve, then sure, you can hook up as many controllers as you want. Just put the appropriate zone wires in their slots. Just like with one controller, if you run more than one zone on two controllers, there is less water per zone as the water is shared. I haven't tested, but I think you can have the app controller both controllers also since the landing page for the app is a list of controllers that you registered. If your system has a master valve (the valve the source of water to your property), it may be different. The master valve turns on whenever an individual zone turns on. You add the master valve wire to a controller slot. If you have two controllers, then where does the master valve attach? It would have to attach to both for it to get a turn-on signal. Splitting is easy enough. I am not sure what happens in the controller if it 'detects' an on signal on the master valve wire that came from the other controller. My guess is it would work but the MFR would have to comment.
