• It does not come with a rain sensor. It uses closest commercial weather station data to the controller. In my case at the local airport. However, Rachio does make a ground saturation monitor. I don't know the part number or the cost, but it does go on sale every so often.

• Not a sensor but monitor's your local weather and will shut off.
