• Hi Grabrd, Great question! The Iro will require 24V AC solenoids to operate. They are not included with the controller as they are usually already installed and the Iro is simply replacing your old sprinkler timer. • Sprinkler valves are not part of the product. It installs on your existing system. The connection to the Iro is via wires.

• No, your valves still need to be wired to the IRO, just like they would be with a traditional timer. That's how they get the power to open and close on command.
