While the Blade 14 is a solid laptop, it gets pretty hot during gaming. I think the 14” chassis with the 3070 and the processor isn’t a good fit. The processor hit 90+ most times when gaming, going as high as 100 degrees at times. I think the games you’re looking to play also matter. If you’re playing shooters, 14” is too small.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you are going to use a laptop as a mobile workstation the larger 17" display of the MSI might be worth it. Outside of size of display, the display in this laptop is much better, it's higher resolution and very color accurate. The biggest issue would be the ram, with just 16GB on the Blade, you might have some issues for CAD. Check on whatever machine you use now and see how much ram you use, that would likely be the biggest determining factor for you. Otherwise, this machine has fantastic performance.
