I've had this laptop for almost a year now, and from business to gaming it holds it's own. There are plenty of great things about this product, but 2 major glaring issues for me. 1. The RAM is soldered to the motherboard so you are unable to upgrade it in any way. 2. Even on the lowest power settings after a year I get roughly an hour of use off of the power pack.

I'm taking the time to write this because it has been a minefield trying to find the right 14-15 inch laptop for me but i'm pleased to say after a month of dealing with stock issues and build issue problems from the competition that I'm very pleased with this purchase. Originally I was set on 15 inches and i was concerned about the 14 inch drop in screen size moving to this machine - after two days however I have no regrets. A few things to note on this machine, it's mostly pros; -Beautiful packing job - it was a treat unboxing this. The charger is slightly bigger than the asus one but it has a nice rubber piece that wraps around the cable to keep things organised. -Excellent screen, with incredible colors, smoothness and zero backlight bleed ("competition" please take note - it's actually possible). QHD in this form factor means very pixel rich images and its a treat for my eyes, I'm really happy with it even at 14 inches. -Phenomenal build quality, the way the screen opens and closes is very smooth, i had no marks on the chassis except for one very very tiny scratch by the stickers on the palm rest. The machine itself feels like a solid block that is built to last. FINALLY nice to see this. -The port placement is great so that you have one usbc / usba port on each side. -The laptop is QUICK, and when not gaming the fans are barely on. This includes during heavy downloads and windows update - barely noticeable. The SSD they shipped it with is a samsung series with 3500/3000mb/s as fast as it gets for pcie 3x4. -The 3070 RTX on this machine is 100watts and benches higher than the 3080 RTX on zephyrus machines. Keep this in mind + the much, much better build quality when comparing them - for me it's a no brainner in value. -Fan noise is not bad when gaming - for me any gaming laptop is loud - and this one has pleasant sounding fans when it spins up. - Windows ships with Zero bloat - the windows it ships with has absolutely no bloatware which was shocking to see! In addition Razer seems to only offer Bios updates as drivers on their website, which i actually prefer, because i was able to run AMD/Intel/NVIDIA driver updates directly from the web site without any issues to the machine. -Battery life for this size of machine is very good in my opinion, you need to set the expectations that this is a smaller size machine with more powerful hardware than the 15 inch competition so .. it's just a fact it has a smaller battery but does very well once all the updates are installed, i can get rougly 6 hours of use out of it with web / email / application usage with the RGB keyboard going and brightness on high - so room to squeeze more. -the keyboard is decent, as a touch typist with very large hands i am getting on with it - the RGB is superb, this is my first razer and the customisation options and effects it comes with are really neat. -finally the look of this machine screams premium and convenience. I'm loving the size more and more every day and it's just a pleasant machine to add to my gadget kit, really pleased i took the plunge. I didnt have this satisfaction when buying the competition - was left with buyers remorese. The Cons - The speakers are not great. I'm getting used to them but the fact they advertise THX on this machine and have these substandard speakers shipping with it is a shame, however they get loud enough and you can get passable sound by disabling the THX options at least fiddling with them to the least intrusion possible. But the speakers are kind of a let down. - The soldered RAM as others have said although i get it given the size and power - however they ship this with 550ns / 880ns RAM which may not be the fastest although is similar to what asus ships soldered on the last machine i had of theirs. It's a laptop, i'm not sure this is a huge deal, but it's something to note if it bothers you. -you can only upgrade the SSD to a single sided SSD (chips can't be on two sides) given the small form factor and tight clearance so you're limited to 2TB physically as 2tb ssds are still single sided. -I'm not sure if i'm doing it wrong but it doesnt appear to charge when the machine is off + plugged in - which i need to look into further. Also, the LED light on the machine doens't make much sense to me - it's on sometimes but not others (eg when machine is sleeping, but doesnt indicate when it's charging or hard drive is in use). Also there is an LED on the charger showing when it's plugged in so these could act as unwelcome nightlights. -The best buy model precludes you from adding razer care - razer care can only be added if you purchase directly from razer i've discovered. overall i wanted to take the time to review this because it's a quagmire out there and i think this machine is well worth the asking price given the GPU performs better than the 3080 rtx limited to under 100watts and the build quality, display, keyboard RGB and lite razer software are all phonomenal.

This is my first time using a Razer product and I am very satisfied. It is pricey, but the build quality of the product is near perfect. Powerful, yet very compact and sturdy as many other reviewers have already pointed out. Beautiful aluminum body looks great with premium feeling. QHD display shows amazing colors, esp. when you play games with rush colors (I played Ori and the Blind Forest for a test and didn't disappoint). Performance is top-notch. Compact enough to bring it to everywhere you go. Battery life is acceptable considering the specs of the machine. It supports USB-C charging so you don't have to carry the heavy power brick when you travel as long as you don't play high-spec games for a long time. Overall, I highly recommend this laptop.

Great laptop, but there are some misses that keep it from being the perfect laptop for me. The power at this formfactor and features are incredible. This would be the perfect companion to take on travels in the future and is convenient for moving around the house. It's a performer and you could certainly push anything to a reasonable level on the go. A 1440p, 14inch ultra portable with powerful components that nail everything on the stat sheet... to me worth the sacrifice of soldered ram. However, I ended up returning mine due to issues with the touchpad. The top half was very stiff and the top 30% couldn't be clicked with any reasonable amount of force. The bottom corners were overly loose and registered as a double click, and I have thin fingers, so there are some potential QC hiccups. The item was backordered making getting a replacement a far out prospect. This gave me time to reflect on the other features missing. 1. No capability to automatically change Screen refresh rate when plugging/unplugging forcing you to remember to cycle this yourself for battery life. This feels like the biggest oversight to me given this is an ultraportable form factor and leveraging every tool to increase battery life should be a priority. 2. No advanced optimus so dGPU passes through iGPU - minor performance loss given up in that 3. This processor series doesn't support gen 4 SSD so you will likely not be able to get full direct storage benefits after that releases, still prefer the AMD option over an Intel so this is minor. 4. Bad webcam 5. Audible pop and delay when plugging in headphones as well as a popup on screen asking me what I plugged in every time. Overall, I still think this is a beast of a laptop if you can accept the caveats. I however will be waiting to see if they can improve on this still admittedly great first iteration and waiting may grant access to a gen 4 ssd in the next ryzen series as well as ddr5 ram.

The Blade 14 is proving to be a portable little powerhouse for both work and gaming. It's light enough to take anywhere, then plug in and game the night away. Performance is very strong for something this size. Other larger laptops might squeeze out a bit more performance, but this machine more than makes up in build quality, portability, and battery life. If you're looking for the ultimate hybrid work/play machine, this is it. Of special note, this display is very impressive with zero light bleed (panels vary some though), high resolution, and fast refresh rate. This has truly been an impressive device.

I have a custom desktop with i& 20th gen, and RTX 2080. This laptop matches my FPS in all games. Its literally 14", and is replacing my desktop. Worth every penny. Were talking 100fps in Cyberpunk 1440p med-high settings, Apex 1440p maxed out 120fps. 8 tabs open in Edge, discord, and other apps and doesn't even feel like i'm using a laptop. Note: If windows isn't activated, update everything you can in settings, usually fixes after a few restarts.

Great gaming laptop perfect size and form factor to play some AAA games on the go. Easily runs games on medium-high settings. I usually run things in high/ultra no problem at 1080p with dlss. But when I use the qhd Rez I go medium/high to keep from heating up too much. Always game plugged in for max performance. Price was a bit high but that’s what I call paying the “Razer tax”

Great build quality. I bought models from several different manufacturers and returned them all before finally settling on this bad boy. Beautiful screen, great keyboard...it's a little powerhouse. I've put this thing through the gauntlet in the 3 months I've had it, taking it on trips for work but also playing AAA games on it frequently. If you plan on gaming with it, get a cooling fan/pad to put underneath. It gets toasty when it's cranked up due to all the high-level hardware in such a small body. Also perhaps buy and install a skin on it if you have any issue with the fact that it's a fingerprint magnet.

Go for a larger system with better cooling for the price point and specs. The "Nifty" factor wears off. 2 yrs later the battery is expanding and need to take it in. The compact size doesn't allow for proper cooling and eventually that will damage internals, not a matter of if, but when.

Initially I got an Asus flow x13 but the build quality was horrible, I did see a bunch of videos about the laptop but after finally getting it I was really disappointed, I ended up returning the laptop and got me the Razer 14 3070, this is a well built computer yes it gets hot but it gets the job done. This is a very powerful laptop believe me you won’t be disappointed, if you have the cash go for it.

Love this laptop, lots of power in a small package. My thoughts: 1. Battery life isn’t great expect 1-2 hours if you’re really using the cpu/GPU , more if you are just browsing. Don’t expect full performance when on battery power, it’s limited until plugged in. 2. Wish the screen was slightly bigger with this configuration (CPU/GPU) but great for travel and great color. 3. No Thunderbolt but you get AMD. 4. Gets really hot, get a cooling stand. Hope this helps someone! Overall I love it.

I built a pc with a 3080, and then travelling required me to go back to a laptop ad I had to sell that to purchase this. I am not disappointed in any way shape or form. Any issues that people complain about with windows not being activated is solved with running 2 or 3 windows update cycles, then everything was working perfectly for me. The keyboard has beautiful lighting and feels very similar to a macbook pro keyboard (but better with more key spacing and travel, while still being incredibly quiet), the 3070 is KILLER with 100W. The 3080 model of this laptop has the same 100W TDP so it doesn't really make any sense to get over the 3070. Did quick gaming tests on Cyberpunk, GTA, and Rocket League and it performed incredibly well. The 165hz freesync display is gorgeous. There is no screen flex or keyboard flex. This is an incredibly well built machine that makes the pain of selling my desktop little to none. It is worth the price if you're looking for a light but powerful laptop!!!

I finally pull the trigger to buy a razer blade laptop! Once I heard and watch the E3 presentation that they are making a ryzen razer blade 14, I was like yep it's time to buy one and i buy indeed and i don't regret it one bit. Pros: - CPU and GPU (3070) combo is just a dream to use. Can handle any game i throw at it and it delivers - Screen is awesome 165hz and QHD with freesync is a joy to look at whether you are gaming or doing media consumption its an eye candy. - Built like a tank and feels premium - Keyboard is feels good for me but it case to case basis for others Cons: - Its a fingerprint magnet ( bought a skin mine) - It can get toasty especially during long gaming sessions but not so much for you to get burn just get sweaty. - Fans can get loud especially if you boost CPU/GPU. - Wish if one of the USB-C is a thunderbolt 3 but thats only intel so maybe in the future? - Un upgradeable RAM. Thou right now 16GB of ram is ok, i'm planning to keep this until it dies on me (3-4 years?) and whos knows what if 16GB is enough for that time. Overall even with some issue which most razer blade owners knows about except the un upgradable ram, you know what you are getting into but for me i think the pros outweight most the cons. So if you have the money to spend this is a good laptop to buy for any use cases.

I'm loving my new Razer Blade 14 RTX 3070, it's super quiet and runs cool. Even under load, it's still cooler and quieter than my Asus G14 RTX3060. The screen is brighter and sharper with the QHD display. So far I tested it with a few games which it ran with no issue. The RGB keyboard is super bright and nice, overall the build quality is excellent, my only negative is the 16GB ram is NOT upgradable for future proof, but for 70-80% of the ppl out there, 16GB is more than enough for gaming and normal 1080P-4k video editing tasks. If your wallet can swallow the deep price, it's a great buy for portability and mobility with such a powerful CPU + GPU yet with great battery life.

It is a nice and powerful laptop computer. Runs everything like a charm. My work usually involves me running multiple Virtual Machines simultaneously. Despite having only 16GB of RAM, I haven't had any problems running 2 to 3 VMs. Can get loud under a lot of load as the fans kick in. Battery is average. Lasts only about 5 hours on power saving mode with brightness turned down while running nothing but Zoom. Build is great and certainly attractive. Extremely portable.

Love this laptop. The size is perfect for me, and it is so powerful. Can play any game. Battery life is great, way better than the Asus G14 I used to have. Close to 10 hours when just typing and web browsing. Runs pretty cool and quiet for the amount of power packed inside. Keyboard and trackpad are great, and the build quality is next to none. Speakers are only average, and that’s really the biggest negative.

I ordered a refurbished unit in "excellent" condition. The laptop naturally had some fingerprints on the aluminum chassis, but was in the condition described and included a charger. I recommend buying refurbished as you can return the laptop if it doesn't have the charger and just buy a new one. The laptop has great build quality, as the chassis rigidity rivals (but does not beat) my old Macbook Pro. Having finished using an RTX 2060 Zephyrus G14 (which I fried by trying to disconnect the battery), however, I think the build quality is a nice improvement. One thing that I do miss is the key travel and the spaced arrow keys from my G14. The keyboard does feel like it is of excellent quality though. The noise is a huge improvement from the G14, although that is a low bar because the fans on the G14 began purring after months of use. The blade 14 is completely silent during non-gaming applications. No complaints about the power, display, and form factor. Outside of comparison with the G14 and macbook, the only complaints I have are with the price, repairability, and the RAM. A laptop with 16GB of soldered RAM priced at over 2 grand will probably be not a good purchase if you plan on gaming on it for over 5 years. The only reason it did end up being a nice purchase for me is that it would last me that long on non-AAA titles and that I needed a small laptop for a CPU-intensive college research program and classes.

Powerful gaming laptop for such a small footprint. Excellent build quality and looks great with the anodized aluminum. Great cooling considering how small and compact it is. Would recommend a laptop stand to allow better airflow for heavier gaming sessions. Color accuracy is excellent and the 1440p resolution is great for this screen size without being overkill. Screen refresh rate can be lowered to 60hz when not gaming/need to conserve battery during office work. Downside is that it’s fingerprint magnet so keep a microfiber cloth handy. (One is included for you, but I recommend getting something more plush) It is also a bit on the pricier side since it is currently the most powerful 14” gaming laptop.
