• Yes, u need an open USB header on the MB, then the rgb connection is three pin (5volt) on the controller itself

• yeah, you don't need a argb header just Molex for power and usb for control. but atm you can only use one hub in razer synapse 3 I'm hoping razer will add support for more than one in the future. but right now we are limited to the 6 ports.
