“I am pressing the numbers to change the channel and then pressing ok but the channel is not changing. The only way I can change the channel is with + and - . Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to press another button. It says nothing on the manual”

First. If there are more than one code numbers for the device you are trying to control, then maybe try each of the other codes for the device to see if the control is more functional. Second. Occasionally, some functions may be controlled by different buttons - so, try other buttons to see if a differently labeled button controls the function you want.
