“My father was sold a VIZIO smart tv from Best Buy with this remote. Obviously not original. How do you program the remote to work with the TV? No reception/communication between the tv and the remote. Assistance is appreciated. Frustrated.”

hold down the tv button until the tv light is constant, then enter the 4-digit code that matches your tv. it may not be the first 4-digit code so be ready to try another if the first one doesn't take
