• A:Answer I had to have original remote that came with my TV. I then had to go to settings /system /expert setting/ and scroll down to tv controller lock and turn it off. My samsung came locked to the original remote and no other remote would work until I turned this off. This remote now works and was pre programed for Samsung. If you don't have the original remote to do this then you will probably have to contact Samsung. I hope this helps.
