• I say yes. I have an old DVD RECORDER. I got it to play, pause, so forth but I needed it to get the menu up for the recorder - no go. So, I say if you want to just play, pause, stop it works great.

• Not sure, it worked automatically for Samsung tv. I finally found a code for my dvd streamer, but need to connect it to internet. My answer would be yes. I wish it had an eject button. Did I miss it? Lol
