Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Macbook audio inputs require a "TRRS" input. Almost all small portable microphones have a "TRS" audio output jack. So you actually need an adaptor to change a "TRS" output (from your microphone) to a TRRS input ( on your Macbook). So what you need is a female-TRS-to-male-TRRS adaptor, which looks like the photo that was included in your question. I added the adaptor that Best Buy carries to do exactly this below.
