• The battery can be charged in the camera but it works better to charge separately. I purchased an extra battery and a charger and when the batteries go low I just swap them out.

• Battery has to be charged inside the camera. We are picking up a battery charger at Best Buy today. Salesman dropped the ball.

• Yes it can be charged outside of the camera if you have a charger that they sell separately

• If you don't charge the battery in the camera, Arlo sells a device where you can charge two batteries at once. Since the device is rather expensive, I recharge my batteries in the camera, where it takes about two hours to be fully charged.

• To charge an Arlo Pro battery you need a camera or a charging station. The battery can not be charged on their own.

• Must have a battery charger that will charge the battery outside the camera. We purchased a charger that will charge two batteries at a time. Must purchased one that will work with the Arlo pro 2. Arlo sell one and there is a after market one that we purchased.

• You need a different charger to charge it out of the camera. So if you don’t have that charger you need to charge it through the camera
