Hi there, and thanks for reaching out. We know how important finding the right filter would be, and we’re glad to advise. While both the MSWF and XWFE filters are designed to provide excellent filtration and high quality water for you, they do have some differences and are not interchangeable. Your particular refrigerator model will have a specific filter it’s compatible with. If it might be useful, we have a tool on our GE Appliances parts website that would help you find the right filter for your refrigerator; if you’d like to use that, you can go to our parts website, click the ‘Water Filters’ drop down and select the ‘Filter Finder’.
