It auto records about a minute if the car shakes. So, maybe, if someone slugged your car with a bat or something, but if we’re talking about someone keying your car or graffiti, etc., then definitely not. Hope this info helps.

Even though the unit is powered off, someone hits your car, or causes enough vibration, the unit will begin to record for a short period of time. The sensor is adjustable from high, medium, low, so you can fine tune it.
