Hello! Hardwiring the dashcam through either of our hardwiring kits will enable you to have access to parking mode features. Parking mode will turn the camera on when it detects vibrations or motion while the vehicle is off and parked. The Smart can only detect vibrations (like collisions) and the Intelligent can detect both vibrations and motion. Please keep in mind that in order for the dashcams to record, the sensors need to be triggered.
