• You don’t need to hookup the rear camera. It will work fine

• I believe the instructions (not very good) indicate the rear camera does not need to be connected The unit menu also allows for just the front camera operation. However, I did installed the rear camera in my truck. I installed in on the inside of the rear glass If I had it to do over again I would not buy this unit. Menu buttons are small, confusing, and have confusing operation
