It can be set to record all the time or only when the key on. It has a shock sensor that will automatically save the current video segment if it senses an accident.

It also offers a parking mode option which camera will be running at nighttime. You will need a smart hardwire kit as this cable will be connected to the fuse box. This is a separate item.
