Hello, the hardwire kit is for parking mode to use the dashcam while the car is off. Our dashcams are compatible with most vehicles.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.1) You only need to purchase hardware if you want to “hardwire” the camera to you car’s battery. If not, they can use the 12v/lighter plug-in that comes with the camera and plug into your cars receptacle. Downside NOT hardwiring is that camera may not trigger to record when parked, because battery in camera may have run out of juice? It needs to be hardwired to ensure function. 2) Unsure about your truck rear camera attachment, but I am sure there are workarounds.
