Does it have to be hard wired or can I use the plug? null

It comes with a cigarette lighter charger or you can hardwire it with an optional power source.

For this and most dash cams, you can operate from the 12v accessory plug, possibly even a USB charging port if your car has them. But they won't provide power when the vehicle is off. So you won't be able to use parking guard features.

Its a plug...you would have to buy a separate cord to hard wire it.
