Dolby Atmos is not required to hear on both sides of the headset. If you have trouble hearing through either side and your mic doesn't work, the problem is most likely the cable is damaged. To make sure your mic is working, go into your audio settings and make sure your mic is switch to on. If it is and your friends still can't hear you, go to accessories and update your controller while the headset is plugged in. Hope this helps!

First, make sure the RIG audio dial cable is plugged all the way into the headphones. Next, make sure you are using the correct RIG audio dial sleeve. If gaming on XBox, the sleeve that was pre-installed is the correct sleeve. If gaming on PS4, switch to the other sleeve that was included in the box. They should be labeld with XB and PS. Also, make sure your microphone is plugged all the way in. There is additional wired connection support and troubleshooting info on RIG's YouTube channel. Check that out.
