• Plugs right into the back of your XBox with a USB port. No need to hook up to the controller. All controls are built on the back of the headset. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these headphones!

• No it does not, there is a base unit that plugs into the xbox itself and the headphones are wireless and without a cord so it does not have to be wired to anything including the controller port
