Hello Les,

Ring Alarm Contact Sensors are designed to keep doors and windows in homes and businesses secure. The Contact Sensor is made up of two parts - the Sensor and the Magnet.

Slide the Contact Sensor off of the back cover which is mounted on the wall. 
Remove the batteries and insert the new batteries.
Replace the Sensor onto the cover.
