I have 2 pads and they both sound off when an alarm occurs or during the delay period. Although only the control unit plays the chime when the door is opened when the alarm is not set for home or away.

Please try again later.The key pad does not chime, the "hub"/"base station" does the chiming or for that matter what ever tone that you wish to use when a door opens or a sensor of any sort if disturbed. So door sensors and motion sensors all chime through the base station if you have the notifications chime engaged in the application.
