• Hello Misty, Good question! The Ring Alarm Base Station is the center of your entire Ring Alarm security system and is required for the keypad and sensor to work properly. • Nope, you'll need the base too. The base connects to the Internet via WiFi or Ethernet, and is how alarm notifications get delivered to your phone and/or computer.
