Cameras aren’t wired but if you are away, battery of the camera would still last for few months assuming no one comes to your home in your absence. And while you are home as a precaution, I recommend getting an extra battery so that it can be replaced as soon as one in the camera drains out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are no cameras included in this kit, only motion sensors and point of entry sensors for doors and windows. All of the included sensors are battery operated and use coin cell batteries which are pre-installed but replaceable. The alarm panels, range extender, and base station are hard wired/require an electrical outlet. You can purchase battery packs to daisy chain to the base station to keep active monitoring in case of a power outage. I do not know how long the coin cell batteries will last in each sensor, and may vary depending on several conditions like the amount of motion activity, and the distance from which each sensor is placed from the base station. I would imagine they will last for at least a year, if not several. Hope this helps!
