“Can each item on the system be programmed to be on or off indiviudally and with unique notifications? I have the Blink system now and this is not possible with it. I need something that has controllable elements.”

The door and window sensors make a nosie when each one is opened at first. You can go into the app and you can silent all of them or individual ones that you would want to have off.

Yes, each Ring Contact Sensor can be configured to send (or not send) open/closed alerts and each Ring Motion Sensor can be programmed, within the Ring app, to enable/disable motion alerts.
