“My new doorbell connects to the chimes and its online but after a few hours to a day the chimes do not ring (the doorbell outside does). Have tried ALL the online suggested solutions. Old 3+ works fine. I think the doorbell is defective. Any thoughts?”

Check to see if the chimes has been put to sleep.

Have some time to exchange at Best Buy but will fiddle with it a bit longer. Odd situation. Have had almost every Ring since the 1st Generation doorbell and never had tis situation crop up.

Tap Devices. Select your Chime. Tap Audio Settings. Tap Chime Alert. Activate notifications by tapping the icons. Tap Chime Tones. Make sure the Chime Volume is turned up.
