“Regarding battery back up. I have my internet wi-fi equipment on a battery back up. If power goes out will the camera work without electricity,? My wi-fi will still be on.”

Hello JD, Great question! No, this device does not have an internal battery backup if it loses power. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have the "Stick Up Cam Battery" model or you have your wired indoor cam plugged up to a battery backup it will continue to work. There is no built in battery backup in the wired cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The indoor plugin camera will NOT work if electrical power is out. It does not have an internal battery. You will need the use the Stickup Cam Battery which operates on battery power.
