“Can this be used on an apartment door with an existing peep hole ?”

This works great on my apartment door. It will pick up a lot of neighbors walking past but you can adjust the sensitivity of the motion sensor. I mainly got this to monitor deliveries. It's too tall to see most packages but you would record anyone coming to the door that would take them.

Yes. That is where mine is being used. I removed the one in the door, but saved it to re-install later. If it’s painted over just be careful removing it. That is actually in the instructions. It comes with inserts if the existing hole is a different size. I did not need the inserts.

YES YOU WOULD REMOVE THE PEEPHOLE ALREADY IN DOOR REPLACE THE RING PEEPHOLE DOOR BELL

Yes, somewhere in the various descriptions of the item, it says that this can be used for an apartment door.
