I installed mine on November 24, 2019, the system prompted me to charge my battery on January 6th, 2020 and the battery was only at about 40%. I live in an apartment complex so I get a fair amount of alerts during the day - 9-15. I left it plugged in overnight but I think the documentation says it take about 3 hours to charge the battery. Hope this helps!
