Hello Bree, This is such an important question, as the physical environment of your Ring Peephole Cam matters to the performance of the device. Doors that close in front of the Peephole Cam, like screens and storm doors, can have an impact on the device's functionality. Glass doors usually let you see the camera's view, but you will need to turn off the night vision LEDs in the device settings, or the glass door will reflect them back into the camera, obstructing its view. Metal and mesh screens may partially or fully obstruct the camera's view and may also reflect the night vision LEDs. If Motion Detection is enabled, most outer doors will also prevent motion from being detected by Door View Cam until the outer door is opened. Having answers to your questions and concerns is a fundamental element to the experience you have with Ring. I want to ensure you feel connected and informed on all of our products and services.
